Maddingley Botanical Road Show
The Maddingley Botanical Road Show is touring Victoria and southern New South Wales in Autumn 2026.

A Plant Lover's Paradise, with guidance that really helps
Across April and May 2026, each Road Show stop gives you the chance to see the collection properly — to compare varieties side by side, understand growth habits, and choose with confidence.
Expect:
A broad and diverse range of protea in multiple forms and sizes
Waratahs and banksias selected for structure and resilience
Leucospermum and leucadendron for bold colour and foliage contrast
Serruria, mimetes, buttonbush and grevillea
A limited number of advanced and rare specimens rarely available together
Honest advice. Real conditions. Better outcomes.
Alongside the plants, we share the guidance that helps them grow well.
Proteas, Leucospermum, Banksias and many Australian native plants are often misunderstood. Soil type, drainage, pot choice and position matter.
We translate the complex, gently debunk common myths and focus on what actually works in real gardens across Victoria and southern NSW.
We’re there throughout the event— answering questions, explaining differences and helping gardeners make informed decisions with plants that are often sold without context. This is the Road Show for gardeners who want to choose well, plant once and grow with confidence.
What you'll find on the day
Our pop-up nursery is staged so you can clearly see differences between varieties — not just labels on benches. Plants travel direct from the nursery to the event in peak condition. That means minimal transit time and no weeks sitting on retail benches.
We’ll also host free demonstrations and informal workshops throughout the day, covering:
Choosing the right plants for your climate
Soil preparation and drainage
Growing in pots versus planting in the ground
Things that can go wrong and how to prevent them
Long-term care for flowering performance
Every conversation is led by us — shaped by years of growing, observing and refining what works.
